Lola Smith- Coach

I have been engaged in weightlifting for over 3 years now and have thoroughly enjoyed every moment of it. Yes, even leg day! I am a certified personal trainer through the National Academy of Sports Medicine, and I am a full-time student at Delta College. I am in pursuit of a Master’s degree in Social Work in hopes of using my education to enhance my career and training skills. Someday I hope to provide mental health therapy in the gym setting - combining physical and mental health techniques for a whole body wellness approach!

Throughout my time in fitness I have always loved the camaraderie and community of the gym, I believe these were critical elements to my recovery from an Anterior Crucial Ligament (ACL) tear during my junior year of high school. This injury forced me to understand the link between physical and mental health, as well as how a fitness related injury can affect even minor everyday activities like taking a shower or going to get something from the fridge. I used a combination of weight lifting and physical therapy to rehabilitate my ACL and I am proud to say my knees are stronger than ever! I wholeheartedly believe in training for functional fitness, and focus on preparing my clients for whatever challenges life may throw their way. From weight loss to muscle gain, Level Up training programs are backed by science and tailored to your individual goals.

What are you waiting for? Meet me at the gym!
