Neural Adaptation In Strength Training

Neural adaptation is the process by which the nervous system adapts to new stimuli and changes in the environment. In the context of strength training, it refers to the changes that occur in the nervous system as a result of lifting weights and other forms of resistance training.

When we engage in strength training, our muscles are put under stress and are forced to work harder than they are used to. However, as we continue to train, the nervous system becomes more efficient at coordinating the muscle fibers, and is able to generate more force and lift more weight.
